INGOT PRODUCTION SYSTEMS - FIM/LING

FIM/LING furnaces are used to produce 1 Kg ingots, in manual mode as well as a “full automatic” mode including robotic weighing and crucible loading systems, crucible unloading systems etc .

All ITALIMPIANTI ORAFI induction melting furnaces are fitted with static frequency converters. A high efficiency of the electrical output that drastically reduces electricity consumption while maintaining the production rate thanks to frequency conversion system we have used.

The modular construction of the electric circuit board greatly simplifies maintenance operations and guarantees high reliability even in the most demanding working conditions.

The highest technical standards used to design the inductors along with the modular construction and the use of only high quality materials guarantee maximum production even in the worst conditions.

The furnace is fitted with two, three or six special crucibles to melt 1 kg of Au each. Each crucible has its own burner to protect the crucible and metal from oxidation during melting.
The crucible is removed by a special pedal system which raises the crucibles from the botton allowing the worker to pick the up with the special pincers.
After melting, the gold is then manually poured into the ingot moulds.

Additional features

  • Display monitoring of the working parameters of the converter as tension and absorbed power.
  • Computerised alarm diagnostics for as many as 12 alarms or warnings which the worker must take note of for the system to work properly. Instructions and advice are shown on the display.
  • Closed ring power regulation which allows the system to absorb the set power regardless of the quantity and type of metal to melt.
  • Threephase power-supply transformer
  • Allowed fluctuation of the electrical mains: ± 10%

Solidification control unit

This unit consists of:

  • Water cooled worktable on which the ingot moulds are placed
  • Ingot bench
  • Metal solidification system using timed air/propane gas burners
  • Unit for dehumidifying/preheating crucibles
  • Photoelectric cell
  • Kilobar ingot pincers
  • Control panel
