The close-coupled technology makes it possible to produce metalpowders for different applications like HIP to additive layer manufacturing and metal injection moulding. The specific design geometry of the die allows for a consistent and reproducible production of high quality spherical metal powders from 10 to 100 microns median. All of our machines are equipped with specifically designed induction coils powered by generators from 5 to 20 kW, developed and built in-house with proprietary technology.
The melting process can be carried out in air or a controlled atmosphere, as well as under vacuum or normal atmospheric pressure, thus allowing atomization of a wide range of metals including low temperature and/or easily oxidizable ones. The chemical composition and the homogeneity of the alloys are guaranteed by means of low-medium frequency generators, while the use of inert gas inside the upper chamber limits oxygen content.
These machines have been designed to guarantee a rapid crucible swapout to avoid cross contamination and are easy to clean and operator friendly.
