Pre-Refining Unit for Low Karat Gold Alloys (Inquartation Method)


The plant of inquartation consists of a reactor by stainless steel or Pyrex glass, provided with a heating system (direct or indirect). The reaction time is comprised between 3-6 hours and the controlled addition of nitric acid helps to reduce the amount of nitrous vapors (NOx) developed.

The plant is equipped with the absorption tower for the oxidation of NOx and the washing of acid fumes. The tower is specifically designed to maximize the efficiency of absorption of NOx and allows the recovery and reuse of diluted nitric acid up to 20%. The filtration of prerefined gold is performed by Buchner type filters or special centrifuges. The purity of prerefined gold can reach up to 995.0

The above described system can be customized upon request of the customer, the images are just one example of the possible system solutions.

Based on the needs of the customer is possible to create a customized systems, with suitable characteristics to the process required.
